And thanks to Gina Pera for an excellent rebuttal to his piece in the New York Times, (yes, I'll share the clickbait, go flood his comments section. Who else is clutching their pearls about children with ADHD being given medication for ADHD, well, here's a start: CBS Boston, where the commenting brain trust has "discovered" that Ritalin and Adderall cause homosexuality! No, really! The Blaze, where, in addition to the usual tropes, we are informed by the commenters that it's public school that's causing ADHD in these two and three year olds. The Leader calls in some expert ADHD deniers to tell us how awful this is. No comments yet, but I'm sure they will be equally enlightening. Melissa Orlov at least is not a total denialist, but she is definitely opposed to giving meds to toddlers. I wouldn't jump down her throat, but again, the article still has no comments, so there might be some awful ones to come. Gina has contributed to the comments in several other articles, but we need as many ADHD voices as possible trying to inject some rational thought into these discussions. We may not convince those determined to stick to their prejudices and preconceptions, but others might learn a thing or two, and that's something we need.
