I'm working on remembering to zip every pocket in my purse back up every time I put something in or take something out. It's becoming habit faster than remembering to put my glasses in the same place every time I take them off, but it's still kind of a big deal. If you have ADHD.

Good idea. I stopped carrying a purse for two reasons, a bad back and a lousy memory. When I was lucky I remembered where I'd left my purse and went back to claim it. When I wasn't lucky I had to replace driver's license and credit cards and other stuff. I put my billfold in one pocket of my jeans and my cell phone in the other pocket and I'm good to go. My car keys you ask? Those have a stretchy coiled strap and they go on my wrist or in my jacket pocket. I've managed to train myself to hang them on the hook behind the front door as soon as I walk in the house. Yay me!

I also carry as small a purse as I possibly can. Otherwise, it becomes a Bag of Holding.

I'm almost there with the purse. I've spilled everything out all over the car only once since I started this thread. Heh.
The other thing I'm working on is flossing my teeth and using mouthwash every night. Yeah, I brush all the time, but I have incredibly healthy teeth, so I always forgot the flossing part. I actually decided to make this my next project when I realized how difficult it is to do now since the brain surgery. Looking at mirrors or pictures of people, even sometimes things in real life, I'm having some spatial displacement that makes me confuse left and right and closer/farther away. Because I need to change the orientation of my hands and I'm looking in the mirror while experiencing a sensation that's distinctly left or right, forwards or backwards, it's kind of therapeutic. Still forgetting every once in a while (then going back to do it once I remember) but there you go.

I think that actually being able to see into a big purse is a help. I used to keep my keys on a giant tribble keychain when I carried big purses so I could always find it by feel!
